March 17 Lunch & Learn with Zach Lemhouse

The Fort Mill History Museum is bringing a special Lunch and Learn event your way, featuring Revolutionary War historian Zachary Lemhouse and a powerful discussion titled To The Last Drop of Blood: African Americans in the American Revolution.

Lemhouse will explore Black participation in the American War for Independence, including the origins of race in America, the conflicting ideal between American liberty and slavery, and the motivating factors that led to Black participation in the war. The program will also take a closer look at Black Patriots and Loyalists in South Carolina and York County, offering valuable local context to this important chapter of history.

The event will take place at the historic sanctuary at Unity Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill.
