Free Medication Review and Safe Disposal Event Coming to Fort Mill Hospital

Fort Mill residents can meet one-on-one with a pharmacist, ask medication questions, and safely dispose of expired or unused medications during a free community event on October 24.

Keeping track of prescription medications, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements can be a challenge. On Saturday, October 24, community members will have an opportunity to get answers to their medication questions at a free Pharmacy Brown Bag Medication Review at Fort Mill Hospital.

Hosted by the pharmacy team at Fort Mill Hospital with Piedmont Medical Network, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the hospital’s front parking lot.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their medications, vitamins, and supplements for a one-on-one review with a pharmacist. The pharmacy team can answer questions, review current medications, and help identify potential drug interactions, duplicate medications, or dosing concerns.

The event is also an opportunity to clear out expired or unused medications safely.

In recognition of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, Piedmont Medical Network is partnering with the All On Board Coalition of York County, which will be onsite to provide safe medication disposal. All On Board is a York County coalition focused on preventing youth substance use.

Whether you have questions about your current medications or need a safe way to dispose of prescriptions you no longer use, the FREE event offers a convenient opportunity to connect with local healthcare professionals.

Look for the Piedmont Medical Network tent in the front parking lot when you arrive.
