Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery Opens for the Fall with Fresh Apple Cider, Donuts, and Seasonal Favorites
One of the area's favorite fall destinations is officially back for the 2026 season. Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery has reopened for the fall, welcoming visitors with fresh apple cider, warm cider donuts (made fresh daily!), award-winning hard cider, and plenty of seasonal treats to enjoy throughout the season.
Located ~45 minutes from Fort Mill, Windy Hill has become a fall tradition for many local families. Whether you're stopping by for a quick treat or planning an afternoon at the orchard, there's no shortage of ways to enjoy the flavors of the season.The orchard's open-air farm stand is now open Thursday through Sunday and is stocked with a variety of fall favorites, including:

Award-Winning Hard Cider
Did you know that Windy Hill has been producing hard cider at the orchard since 1996?
As a licensed and bonded cidery, Windy Hill offers guests the opportunity to sample its award-winning hard ciders during the fall season.
The Cider Bar is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, where visitors can enjoy tasting flights or order a full pint. Nonalcoholic options, including fresh apple cider and soda, are also available for younger guests and those looking for a family-friendly outing.
You'll also find seasonal snacks available at the Cider Bar, including cider donuts, pretzels, fried pork skins, kettle corn, and more.
What About Apple Picking?
If picking apples is at the top of your fall bucket list, don't worry — u-pick season is still on the way!
Depending on the growing season, Windy Hill typically offers pick-your-own apples from early September through mid-October. Because apple varieties ripen at different times and crop conditions can vary, all u-pick experiences are offered through online reservations only.
According to the orchard's latest update, u-pick reservations are expected to become available inlate August, although the team continues to monitor this year's crop following summer drought conditions.
In the meantime, all other farm hours and events will continue as scheduled.
