Sip & Stroll on Oct. 17: Champions for a Cause
Grab your favorite team jersey and spend an afternoon in Old Town Rock Hill for a good cause! The Junior Welfare League presents the second annual Sip & Stroll is happening Saturday, October 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the theme is all about team spirit.
This year’s theme is “Support Your Favorite Sports Team” so break out your jerseys, team colors, and game-day gear while strolling through Old Town Rock Hill and enjoying specialty food and drinks created just for the event.
Participating restaurants will serve up specialty cocktails, mocktails and curated food pairings exclusively for the Sip & Stroll, giving guests a chance to explore local restaurants while enjoying an afternoon centered around community, sports and giving back.
And there’s an important reason behind the celebration.
Proceeds from this year’s Sip & Stroll will benefit Defend the Fatherless, a York County nonprofit dedicated to supporting foster, adoptive and kinship families. Through programs, resources and ongoing support, the organization walks alongside families caring for children in crisis and works to help create stable, loving environments where children can thrive.
So whether you’re cheering for the Gamecocks, Tigers, Bulldogs, Tar Heels—or another team entirely—come dressed in your colors and ready to sip, stroll and support a great cause!
