SC Strawberry Festival Kicks Off This Weekend Presented by Piedmont Medical Center
The 10th Anniversary of the South Carolina Strawberry Festival kicks off on Friday, May 3, at 4:30pm in Walter Elisha Park with a jam-packed weekend of activities for the entire family.
A Community Built on Heroes
Piedmont Medical Center is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for the 10th year in a row! This year’s theme is ‘A Community Built on Heroes’, and Piedmont Medical Center will be offering an interactive exhibit for families to enjoy (Friday 5-11pm; Saturday 10am-5pm).
Features in the exhibit include first responders’ vehicles, city and county cars, a SWAT bearcat vehicle, a fire truck, an ambulance, mascots, free giveaways, and a free interactive photo booth. Kids will be able get a photo dressed as their favorite first responder hero and keep their photo in a celebratory sleeve that commemorates the heroes in our community.
Keep an eye out for inspirational stories from Piedmont’s own EMS heroes leading up to the Festival and be sure to thank our hometown heroes this weekend. Piedmont is excited to soon call Fort Mill home with the opening of their own off-site emergency department on Gold Hill Road, and they are looking forward to celebrating with families from across the Carolinas this weekend right in our downtown.
