Fort Mill High School staff member and Pittsburgh Steeler create wellness challenge

Starting April 27th, Chris Wormley, defensive end for the Pittsburgh Steelers, will host daily videos on Instagram and Youtube, focusing on physical and social emotional wellness for kids, teens, and families. At the end of each video, he will challenge viewers to complete an activity focusing on social, emotional or physical wellness.

These will be posted to his Instagram page Big_Worm43 and YouTube channel #MuscleAndMindFit. Viewers are encouraged to record themselves responding to the challenges and to use the hashtag #MuscleAndMindFit and tag Wormley in their Instagram posts. He will share them in his stories. Kelly Kigar, behavior interventionist at Fort Mill High School, reached out to Wormley after seeing the impact of social distancing on her students. He jumped at the opportunity to work with Kigar to create a wellness campaign.

“These videos and challenges will hopefully be a source of wellness and connectivity during this difficult time,” said Kigar. A little more about Chris. He is a proud Toledo native and Whitmer graduate. He played NCAA football for the Michigan Wolverines. Drafted by the Ravens in 2017, Chris Wormley was a Defensive End with the team until March 2020. He will begin his 4th year in the NFL as a Pittsburgh Steeler.
