The Anne Springs Close Greenway will host its third annual Volunteer Blitz on Saturday, March 14, 2026, inviting the community to roll up their sleeves for a day of hands-on service across the Greenway’s beautiful 2,100 acres.

This one-day initiative brings together volunteers of all ages to support the Greenway’s mission of conservation, education, and low-impact outdoor recreation. By organizing multiple service projects in a single day, the Volunteer Blitz creates lasting improvements that benefit both the natural landscape and the thousands of visitors who enjoy it each year.
“The Volunteer Blitz is a powerful reminder of what our community can accomplish when we come together with a shared purpose,” said Danielle Holmes. “Volunteers play a vital role in helping us care for this special place while supporting the educational programs and outdoor experiences that connect people to nature. We encourage anyone looking to give back to join us and be part of this meaningful day of service.”
How You Can Help
Volunteer shifts will run two to three hours between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with opportunities available at four Greenway entrance locations. Individuals, families, and groups are all welcome, and projects are designed to match a variety of interests and abilities.
Planned service activities include:
Painting, building, and cleaning projects supporting Afterschool on the Greenway, the Nature-Based Preschool, and Greenway Summer Camp programs
Painting assistance at the Greenway Stables
Litter patrol across trails and natural areas
Office and administrative support projects
Additional volunteers are still needed to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
