Community Post Submitted by Zoë,Maurer-- Fort Mill residents have a new reason to raise a glass this summer. Several local businesses are participating in Drink Pink 2026, a regional fundraising campaign benefiting Madelyn’s Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional support to families with infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and those experiencing infant loss.

Now in its fourth year, the annual campaign launched Memorial Day weekend and runs through June 30.

Participating restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, wine bars, and beverage destinations across the Greater Charlotte area are offering specialty pink drinks, with a portion of proceeds helping local families navigate some of life’s most challenging circumstances.

Fort Mill businesses participating in this year’s campaign include Amor Artis Brewing, Blue Bar & Smokehouse, Brixx Wood Fired Pizza + Craft Bar at Kingsley, Hobo’s, and The Print Shop by Amor Artis. Nearby businesses throughout Rock Hill, Charlotte, and surrounding communities are also joining the effort.

Presented by Accent Homes Carolinas, Drink Pink continues to grow in both participation and impact. In 2025, the campaign featured 36 businesses across 52 locations and raised more than $16,500 to support NICU families throughout the Carolinas.

“We continue to see firsthand how many families urgently need support during and after a NICU stay,” said Rachel Lee, co-founder of Madelyn’s Fund. “From funeral expenses to everyday necessities during extended hospitalizations, these families are navigating unimaginable circumstances. Drink Pink gives our community a meaningful and tangible way to come together and make a real difference, one sip at a time.”

Founded in 2016, Madelyn’s Fund provides financial assistance and emotional support to infant and pediatric patients in the NICU, as well as families who experience the devastating loss of a baby. The organization helps cover essential expenses such as transportation, temporary housing, utility bills, meals, and funeral costs, allowing families to focus on their children rather than financial burdens.

The need for support continues to grow. Madelyn’s Fund assisted hundreds of families throughout the Carolinas last year, providing critical resources during prolonged hospital stays and times of crisis. As medical and household expenses continue to rise, the organization says demand for assistance remains high.

This year’s Drink Pink campaign features a variety of beverages, including specialty cocktails, rosé wines, mocktails, coffee drinks, craft beer, kombucha, and other creative pink-themed offerings. Participating businesses have developed unique menu items that allow customers to support the cause while enjoying a favorite local restaurant, brewery, or coffee shop.

Additional participating businesses include Catalina Kitchen + Bar, Dilworth Tasting Room, Ever Andalo, Fenwick’s, Frenchy’s Sip & Shop, Goldie’s, Harriet’s Hamburgers, HopFly Brewing, Laurel Park, Lenny Boy Brewing Co., Middle C Jazz, NAPA on Providence, NAPA Bistro & Wine Bar, Nuvole Rooftop TwentyTwo, Rosie’s Coffee & Wine Garden, Roots Café, Salted Melon, Taco Mama, and The Auto Pour, among others.

The campaign’s growing presence in York County reflects the area's strong commitment to supporting local families. Several Fort Mill businesses have returned after participating in previous years, while new partners continue to join the campaign.

Although Drink Pink 2026 is already underway, Madelyn’s Fund is still welcoming additional restaurant, brewery, coffee shop, wine bar, and beverage partners through the remainder of the campaign. Businesses interested in participating can feature a pink drink and donate a portion of their proceeds to help support NICU families throughout the region.

“We are proud to partner with generous, community-minded businesses throughout the Charlotte region,” Lee said. “Every drink purchased helps provide meaningful support to families when they need it most.”

For many Fort Mill residents, supporting Drink Pink also means supporting neighbors. Madelyn’s Fund serves families across both North and South Carolina, including many throughout York County and the greater Charlotte region.

As summer gets underway, organizers hope the campaign will continue raising both awareness and critical funding for families navigating the uncertainty of a NICU stay or the heartbreak of infant loss.

Whether you're a business owner looking to get involved or simply ordering a pink drink with friends, every sip helps make a difference.
