Local businesses raise funds at the Foundation for Fort Mill School’s Clays for a Cause event

On April 24, a number of local businesses sporting approximately 70 shooters joined the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools for their 2nd annual Clays for a Cause event held at Rocky Creek Sporting Clays. The event, aimed at raising funds for the Foundations Classroom Ready and Teacher Grants programs, brought in over $10,000 – more than doubling last year’s earnings.
Participants entered into groups of shooters to tackle the 12 hole clay course. Trophies were awarded, with hand-made wooden clays crafted by the talented students at Catawba Ridge High School, to first, second and third place teams. It was a great way for employees to enjoy time out of the office, connect with co-workers, and raise money for a great cause.
Local businesses also donated incredible raffle items, which participants eagerly bought tickets for. It was truly a community effort in making this event so successful and impactful for Fort Mill teachers and students.
