Local organizations you can support on Jan. 18, MLK Call to Service Day

The Town of Fort Mill is hosting MLK Call to Service Day on January 18, to highlight area organizations and their needs. This is a great opportunity to serve your community and honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy.


Below are the organizations and what you can donate. Items can be dropped off at Fort Mill Town Hall, 200 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715 from 8am-noon on January 18.


Adult Enrichment Center

Gift cards to Lowe's or Walmart for supplies to create a "special project room" for clients with dementia.


Bethel Men's Shelter

Boxers (size medium or large) and sweatshirts (size medium, large, or XL).


Classroom Ready

Over-the-ear headphones or earbuds (jacks, not wireless)


Fort Mill Care Center

Toilet paper and paper towels.


Historic Paradise Foundation

Stem kits, gift cards to Walmart or Amazon to buy supplies for their Learning Center.


Palmetto Women's Center

Diapers: size 1 and larger; baby wipes.


York County Council on Aging

Washing detergent, dishwashing liquid, and blankets.
