Teeing Off for Fort Mill Schools

The 5th Annual TEC Dowling Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools (FFMS) will be held on Friday, June 14th at Tega Cay Country Club. This is the largest fundraising event of the year for the FFMS and honors the memory of TEC Dowling, who served as Superintendent of Fort Mill Schools from 1997-2005. For the 2018-2019 school year the FFMS provided $103,000 worth of grants, scholarships and financial impact. $47,000 in teacher grants were awarded that will enable teachers to enhance their specific needs for students in their classrooms. The Foundation also sponsored robotics clubs at all the schools, provided funds for the Event Team at Nations Ford for their Shoes for Kids in Need effort, and collected and distributed school supplies for the Classroom Ready initiative.

This year the FFMS is especially thankful for the generous donation of a customized E-Z-Go luxury cart from DR Horton. This winner can even select any custom upholstery to outfit their vehicle! Tickets are only $20 and a limited supply are left – so get yours while they last here.

The event is also being catered by the Famous Toastery for breakfast and Taco Molino for lunch. Amor Artis is donating craft beer to the event and the FFMS is very excited that all of these generous vendors have stepped up to support our schools!
