4th of July parades, fireworks, and more in and around Fort Mill

Fort Mill knows how to throw a celebration for our nation's 248th birthday! To ensure a full and festive July 4th 2025, we've rounded up a list of events to make the most of the day. From fireworks displays and community parades, there's something for everyone to enjoy!


Town of Fort Mill

Independence Day Celebration – Thursday, July 3, 2025 | 6:00 PM–9:30 PM

  • Location: Fort Mill Amphitheater & Walter Elisha Park (345 N. White St.)

  • Details: Kick off the weekend with a family-friendly celebration at Walter Elisha Park. From 6-9:30PM, guests can expect a mix of food trucks, live music, kids’ activities, roving performers, and a fireworks finale!


  • Schedule:

    • 6:00 PM – Most Patriotic Contest (for kids & adults)

    • 6:30 PM – Live music with Main Event Band

    • 7:30 PM – Ceremony featuring Town Council, Strawberry Queens, special guests and music

    • 8:00 PM – The Swingin’ Medallions take the stage

    • 9:15 PM – Fireworks Finale


53rd Annual Firing of the Cannons – Friday, July 4, 2025 | 10:00 AM–11:00 AM

  • Location: Bandstand on Main Street

  • Details: The ceremony begins at 10:00 AM and includes:

    • Remarks from Town Council

    • Appearances by the South Carolina Strawberry Queens

    • Performances by Meghna Gopaluni, Kassidy and Kyle Gavagan, Georgia Hathaway, and Encore Music Studio

    • A special historical tribute presented by Myla Smith, an 8th grader from Banks Trail Middle School

    • The ceremonial Firing of the Cannons, a tradition proudly led for the 52nd year by the Short Family


Baxter Village

The 22nd Annual July 4th Parade - Friday, July 4, 2025 | 9:30 AM

  • Location: Participants line up at Baxter Town Center; the parade goes along Market Street

  • Details: With 150+ parade units, expect to see bands, floats, shriner’s performance units, clowns, classic cars, sports mascots, street entertainers, decorated entries and more! Anyone can participate; no registration necessary!


Carowinds

  • Location: Carowinds

  • Details: All-American thrills are waiting for you at Carowinds as we celebrate Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&M’S®, the most breathtaking 4th of July event in the Carolinas in 2025! The night’s sky will be painted with bright and colorful lights while explosive sounds erupt in combination with patriotic music, creating an unforgettable show for all ages.


Rock Hill

Red, White & BOOM! – Friday, July 4, 2025 | 4:00 PM–9:00 PM

  • Location: Fountain Park & Main Street downtown

  • Details: Features live music, inflatables, food trucks, beer & wine, face painting, water play area with slides/foam/water games, and fireworks at 9 PM.


Tega Cay

U.S. OF CAY – Friday, July 4, 2025 | 9:00 AM

  • Location: The Land Parade starts at City Hall; travels down Tega Cay Drive ending at Windward Drive

  • Details: This year's celebration will honor the American Eagle with the theme "Where Eagles Soar!" You can expect lively parades, live music, and a dazzling fireworks display!

  • Schedule:

    9 AM – “Where Eagles Soar” Land Parade starting at City Hall

    4:00–7:30 PM – Lions Club Fish Fry at the Glennon Center

    6:00 PM – Mayor’s State of the City at the Glennon Center

    9:00 PM – Fireworks over Tega Cay at the Golf Course


  • Location: Windjammer Park

  • Schedule:

    • 11 AM – Flotilla Parade - Nivens Landing to Windjammer

    • 11:15 AM – Freedom Fun Run Paddleboard Competition by Goat Boater

    • 12:00 PM – Carolina Ski Show

    • 6:30 PM – Uncle Sam Jam featuring "Diamond Dixie" at Runde Park


Lake Wylie

Lake Wylie Fireworks - Friday, July 4, 2025 | 9:30 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Location: Buster Boyd Bridge

  • Details: Some of the best viewing areas include: The Buster Boyd Bridge boat landing, Papa Doc’s Shore Club on outside deck, Rey Azteca deck at Lake Wylie Plaza, Lake Wylie Italian and Pizza on patio, Bagel Boat, Long Cove Resort, or watch by boat near Buster Boyd Bridge.
