Discover Healing and Growth with Margaret at Carolina Moon Counseling
Meet Margaret Locke, the compassionate therapist behind Carolina Moon Counseling, ready to guide you on a transformative journey of self-discovery and change. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from Furman University, Margaret went on to obtain her Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2021. Driven by a passion for connecting with others and witnessing their growth, her journey to counseling was a natural calling. Growing up, she was always the friend who listened and the family member who problem-solved. She loves her job, and genuinely believes that connection is the reason we are put on this earth.
With expertise across various populations, Margaret excels in working with adolescents, parents, and emerging adults. Her joy comes from empowering clients to become aware of their patterns and providing them with the skills to tackle challenges together. She wants to help you be productive during the day when you struggle with getting out of bed, be able to talk with your children and parents in a way that fosters lifelong healthy relationships, and manage your anxiety when you feel overwhelmed. Margaret’s goal is to provide both a confidential and comfortable counseling space in which she can provide the support necessary to succeed. Life is hard, but there is hope.
The name “Carolina Moon Counseling” pays homage to Margaret's roots, growing up in both North and South Carolina. In addition, her parents’ businesses have “Carolina” in the name, making it even more special. Inspired by familial ties and a love for the community, Carolina Moon Counseling found its home in the welcoming and growing community of Rock Hill.
In her spare time, Margaret values spending time with her family and frequent visits to the Isle of Palms and Fort Fisher. Her dog, Metto, also holds a special place in her heart. In fact, a unique aspect of Carolina Moon Counseling is the upcoming introduction of the doodle as a therapy pet in 2025, following completion of training.
Margaret’s counseling practice is informed by emotionally focused, cognitive-behavioral, and solutions-focused therapies. These methodologies empower clients to gain fresh perspectives and navigate life challenges effectively. Carolina Moon Counseling offers face-to-face counseling for individuals in Rock Hill and surrounding areas. For those residing across South Carolina, distance counseling via phone or video is also available. Embark on your journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and healing with Margaret at Carolina Moon Counseling. Connecting with her will foster growth and change in your life.
