Get ready to unplug and embrace the great outdoors at the Great American Campout, happening June 28–29 at the Anne Springs Close Greenway’s Lake Haigler Entrance. This annual event invites families and nature lovers of all ages to enjoy a weekend filled with adventure, fresh air, and old-fashioned outdoor fun.
Now in a brand-new location, the Lake Haigler entrance offers easy access to kayaking, live music, and food from the on-site Greenway Canteen—perfect for making your outdoor experience even more memorable.
As part of the National Wildlife Federation’s nationwide initiative, the Greenway’s 2,100 acres of natural beauty provide the ideal setting for families to reconnect with nature. Activities include fishing, archery, kayaking, a guided night hike, and s’mores around communal fire pits. Bring your own meal to cook over the campfire, or grab a delicious bite from the Canteen and enjoy live music on the lawn.
The fun doesn’t end at sunset! On Sunday morning, campers can enjoy Rise and Shine Yoga and wagon rides, offering one more peaceful moment before heading home.
