The Fort Mill food scene continues to expand! Mac’s Speed Shop and its sister restaurant, SouthBound, are set to open side by side at 1954 S.C. Highway 160, across from Baxter Village.

Mac’s Speed Shop, the well-loved BBQ joint known for its mouthwatering smoked meats and extensive craft beer selection, will be the first to open, with doors expected to welcome guests by the end of 2025. This new location will be built from the ground up, featuring a fresh design that incorporates steel and burnt wood accents. A standout feature will be its seamless indoor-outdoor bar and a patio area, complete with garage doors that open to create an inviting, open-air experience. This will mark the 10th location for Mac’s Speed Shop, further expanding its popular footprint.
Following Mac’s Speed Shop, SouthBound is slated to open after Mac's in mid-2026. SouthBound brings a taste of Southern California to the Carolinas, offering street food-inspired dishes in a relaxed, beachy atmosphere. With its laid-back vibe and flavorful menu, SouthBound will provide a unique dining experience that perfectly complements the bold flavors of Mac’s Speed Shop.
Stay tuned for more updates as construction progresses!
