New owners of Crossings on Main to carry on long-time traditions

Keith Suttles and Kirk Godbey

Crossings on Main, "a happy shop for giving people," is just that - a happy shop in downtown Fort Mill. It has a bright, cheery, familiar vibe, as if you've walked into an oasis of simplicity and classic Southern charm. You're greeted like a neighbor, and new owners Keith Suttles and Kirk Godbey intend to keep it that way.

It was established in 1994 by mother and daughter-in-law Gail Lavender and Cathie Smith. Fast forward 27 years to January 2021. Wife and husband Cathie and Chip Smith said goodbye and entrusted the family-owned shop to their Store Manager of four years, Keith, and his husband Kirk, who are thrilled for the opportunity to carry on the traditions established over so many years!

Keith has always dreamed of owning his own shop and is honored to be able to continue the small-town legacy and serve the community as your beloved shop for home decor, accessories, gifts, entertaining, and more.

The incredible staff always know how to pull together a gift or guide you in the right direction when stumped by a decision. That's what brings Keith the most joy - helping you find the perfect gift and getting to know you! He and Kirk can't wait to show you all the new inventory.

From Consuela, Scout, and Hobo bags, to Corkcicle, VIETRI dinnerware, Estelle colored glass, and various home decor, this is your local go-to gift shop that has something for everyone. They also host DIY events, so be on the lookout for the next one! It's a great way to learn something new, hang with friends, or meet new ones!

Keith and Kirk have lived in Fort Mill for a while - Keith for 18 years and Kirk for 36 years - so you've probably seen them around, as they love to explore all the new restaurants in our growing town. Stop by, shop, and say hello! You may even see a new furry mascot or two, pups Graham and Emma Rose!
